UNICEF Convention on the Right's of the Child

The Convention on the Rights of the Child is the first legally binding international instrument to incorporate the full range of human rights -- civil, cultural, economic, political and social. The Convention on the Rights of the Child was developed in 1989 as a vehicle to ensure that children are afforded special protections and are guaranteed basic human rights.

Youth at the UN

This program is the focal point on youth within the United Nations. It aims to build an awareness of the global situation of young people, as well as promote their rights and aspirations. The UN Program on Youth also works towards greater participation of young people in decision-making as a means of achieving peace and development.

World Youth Report 2005

The year 2005 marks ten years since the General Assembly adopted the World Program of Action for Youth in 1995. This report, an official report to the General Assembly, called for a renewed commitment to the goals of the World Program of Action.
